Chapter 17, Section 2, of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows was amended to enable the AKC to bill superintendents on a monthly basis for event fees.

Chapter 9, Section 11, of the Beagle Field Trial Rules and Standard Procedures for Brace, Small Pack Option Field Trials and Two-Couple Pack Hunting Tests was amended to create a championship event for gundog brace Beagles.

A vote on two amendments to the Beagle Field Trial Rules and Standard Procedures, which would have differentiated Beagle Field Trial Championships based upon the types of trials in which they were earned was postponed until March.

The chair explained that there were three Beagle proposals, but that the vote for two of the amendments would be postponed because the Delegate of the National Beagle Club learned that the parent club has reversed their position of support, as did the Beagle Advisory Committee and the AKC Board. As delegates were advised by AKC of the parent club support, these two votes will be postponed until we receive the rationale and the facts behind the change in their position.

There was a vote on Chaper 9, new Section 11 of Beagle Field Trial Rules and Standard Procedures for Brace, Small Pack Option Field Trials and Two Couple Pack Hunting Tests. The amendment was recommended by Staff and creates a championship for gundog brace Beagles. The amendment was approved.
